‘Tis the Season of Giving: Leftover Convention Materials Donated to the Hillsborough Education Foundation

Forklift loads donations into a truck at the Tampa Convention Center

Just in time for the holidays, a special delivery of backpacks, pens, water bottles, and other school supplies traveled from the Tampa Convention Center to the Hillsborough Education Foundation.

These supplies were left over after the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministries, which took place Dec 5-8.

The Tampa Convention Center loves donating leftover convention materials to local nonprofits—especially during the holidays. This donation was part of our ‘Save the Resource’ initiative to minimize convention waste and donate materials to nonprofits in the community.

The National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministries generously agreed to donate these materials to Teaching Tools—a brick and mortar operated by the Hillsborough Education Foundation. The Teach Tools Store provides FREE school supplies to Title 1 school teachers in our community. Ultimately, these supplies will help students in need prepare for classroom tasks.

The Tampa Convention Center would like to thank the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministries for their generous donation.
