Transforming 18,000sqft of Convention Center Storage Space
Harpoon Harry’s has transformed 18,000sqft of former convention center storage space into a lively and up-scale restaurant. This multi-million dollar projected allowed the owners to carry out their vision for the eatery, which included an open-air concept, two levels with balconies overlooking Franklin Street, hand-carved wooden details made with Tennessee lumber, and more.
One of the most unique features of the restaurant, perhaps, is the use of a 1926 Chevy truck for their main bar. A 10-ft tall blue and green crab is also mounted on the face of the building, welcoming all to come inside for a bite to eat.
The restaurant opened on Jan 24th, just in time for a Gasparilla celebration. For more information about Harpoon Harry’s Tampa Convention Center, visit: www.harpoonharryscrabhousetampa.com
