The Tampa Riverwalk Lighted Boat Parade is sailing into this holiday season this Saturday, Dec 22nd--bringing with it plenty of cheer.
Hosted by the Tampa Riverwalk, this cherished holiday tradition features illuminated boats dressed in their best holiday décor. Onlookers will be able to admire the holiday lights from our waterfront as their reflections dance along the Hillsborough River.
This year, the Lighted Boat Parade will follow a NEW route that starts on Harbour Island, makes it way up past The Sail and the Tampa Convention Center (ETA around 6:40pm), and continue north towards Armature Works. The route will then turn around and make its way back down the river past Tampa General Hospital, around Harbour Island, and end at Sparkman Wharf.
See the Lighted Boat Parade route map here.
Eat, Drink, and be Merry!
Both The Sail and the Tampa Convention Center will be open for the event with an excellent view of the parade from our waterfront and landing.
Outside, The Sail will be serving food and drinks, with portable bars set up around their building and live music by Fickle Souls starting at 8pm.
Inside the Tampa Convention Center, our Bay Bistro will be open at 5pm and serve its full menu including food, drinks, alcohol, hot cocoa, coffee, and pastries. Dippin Dots will also be stationed in the rotunda.
The Tampa Convention Center invites all locals and visitors to enjoy this favorite Tampa holiday tradition from our waterfront.
There will be increased traffic downtown Tampa due to the Riverwalk Lighted Boat Parade. The parade starts at 6:30pm but we advise all attendees to arrive early in order to get a good view.
