Transportation and Stormwater Services

The Transportation and Stormwater Services Department is primarily responsible for maintaining and building the City of Tampa’s stormwater and transportation infrastructure, which includes and/or involves:

  • Transportation and Stormwater Capital Improvements Projects

  • Transportation and Stormwater Planning

  • Bridges and Seawalls Inspection and Maintenance

  • Bridge Lighting

  • Mass Transit Initiatives

  • Traffic Signal Management

  • Maintenance of Traffic

  • Project Development, Design, Management and Construction

  • Sidewalk Program

  • Stormwater Systems

  • Street Resurfacing

  • Street Lighting – Mayor’s Bright Lights Safe Nights

  • Traffic Calming

  • Traffic Engineering

  • Traffic Signage

The Transportation and Stormwater Services Department reports directly to the Administrator of Public Works and Utility Services.
