How do I request a scholarship voucher?

Contact the City of Tampa Water Efficiency Section at (813) 274-8121, option #5, or by email to request a voucher. You will need to provide your City of Tampa utility account number and the name of the person who will be attending the class; once issued the scholarship voucher is non-transferable. Vouchers are limited, first come first served while program funding remains available.

Does a voucher automatically ensure a seat in the next class?

Home Improvement (DIY) Class - No, the voucher is a guarantee of partial tuition payment for Erwin and does not guarantee a seat. The only way to ensure a seat in the class is to complete registration by enrolling on-line www.Erwin.edu/ or in person at the Erwin Evening Admissions Office at 2010 W Hillsborough Ave, between 1-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. You will need to provide them the authorized scholarship voucher number and pay the remaining $50 in tuition (the full course tuition is $236) in order to complete enrollment. Phone and online enrollment is not available when utilizing the scholarship voucher.

Can I use the voucher for any class at Erwin?

No, the voucher is only good for the part-time Home Improvement (DIY) course on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. at the Erwin Technical Center.

Can I register for the course first to guarantee a seat, then request a voucher?

The voucher must be issued and a voucher number provided to Erwin Admissions before class registration to take advantage of the discounted tuition. No vouchers will be applied after registration.

If the class is already full can I use the voucher for the next class?

Vouchers are issued for a specific session of the course and cannot be used toward future sessions. Any voucher unredeemed for the session it was issued for will be voided. You can contact the Tampa Water Department for a new voucher when the next course session is scheduled.

If I withdraw from the course after registration, is all the tuition refunded?

Please see Erwin Technical Center's refund policy. The value of the Home Improvement scholarship voucher will not be refunded to the student.
