The City of Tampa Office of Emergency Management (OEM) leads city coordination for emergency planning, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery for major natural and human-caused disasters, as well as large scale citywide events (i.e., Gasparilla, Superbowl, National Conventions, NCAA Football Playoff, etc.)
To protect the life and preserve the property and resources of Tampa's citizens, businesses and visitors through effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities before, during, and after disasters.
