On Friday afternoon, the Tampa Police Department responded to a domestic-related incident that escalated in the 8700 block of N. Brooks St. An armed male reportedly fired a gunshot after a verbal altercation with a known subject and then was believed to have run into a residence on N. Brooks St. There were no reported injuries.
It was determined that the subject, now identified as 26-year-old Roger Williams, was not in the house. Investigators were able to make contact with Williams, who agreed to return to the scene. Officers arrested Williams at a nearby intersection without incident. He was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle.
Williams will be transported to Orient Road Jail.
