TAMPA, Fla.- Tampa Police have arrested a 14-year-old male in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old male on Friday, January 26, 2024.
At approximately 3:42 p.m., officers responded to the 8600 block of N Armenia Ave following a report of a juvenile who had been shot.
Witnesses on scene advised the incident happened following a fight near a bus stop on Armenia.
Officers retrieved video that captured the incident showing the suspect chasing the victim with a firearm in his hand.
The suspect was later identified as Scott Decerant B/M (DOB 04-15-2009).
Decerant is charged with:
Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony with a Weapon (Firearm)
Attempted Murder in the First-Degree, (Premeditated/Firearm)
Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm or Deadly Weapon (Firearm)
Carrying Concealed Firearm
Minor in Possession of a Firearm
