On the night of January 18, 2023, Tampa Police responded to the Silver Oaks Apartments, located at 4200 Kenneth Ct, for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived to find 26-year-old Latoya Gay suffering from a gunshot wound. Latoya was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced deceased.
Tampa Police Homicide Detectives have been working to develop leads in this case. They are now releasing video showing subjects who were in the apartment complex near the time of the homicide. Investigators would like to speak to these persons of interest to determine what, if anything, they may know about the shooting that led to Latoya's death.
Latoya's family has allowed for the release of her information in the hopes that someone in the community will provide information that will lead to justice in this case. Detectives are asking the community to take a good look at the video.
