All construction and development projects (public, private, institutional, residential, and commercial) for new buildings or renovations are deemed essential infrastructure and are authorized to continue subject to certain safety precautions and new operating procedures outlined below.

Construction Services is open for business via phone, email and online, including normal inspection services, however, as a precautionary measure to COVID-19 transmission, effective Tuesday, March 17th we will not be accepting walk-in customers at the Development Services Center located at 1400 North Boulevard until further notice. Construction Services, a division of the Planning and Development Department, is a one-stop shop for all construction permit and inspection needs. The division reviews construction plans, issues permits, and performs inspections to ensure building projects are built safely and in compliance with state and local codes and regulations helping to create a vibrant, livable, and safe-built community. Whether you are remodeling a home, building your dream house, or constructing a high-rise building, we look forward to serving you.
Online Permitting System
The City of Tampa's Accela Citizen Access Portal (ACA), allows clients to submit new applications, search for information, pay fees, check the status of projects, and upload plans and documents. Visit us today at aca.tampagov.net to register for a new user account.

New Electronic Plan Review Solution
The City of Tampa's Planning and Development Department is excited to announce the launch date of Monday, March 4, 2019 for their new electronic document review solution for building records, the Digital Plan Room. The Planning and Development Department has partnered with ePermitHub to launch the Digital Plan Room, which is seamlessly integrated into the Accela Citizen Access (ACA) Portal.
