On February 29, 2024, at approximately 8:39 a.m., the assigned Chamberlain High School SRO and additional Tampa Police officers responded to a physical dispute that occurred in the school’s main hallway. Alongside school security, officers were able to quickly resolve the dispute.

Two adults, 18-year-old Jordan Ford and 19-year-old Stanley Louissaint, who are not affiliated with the school, and three students were involved in the physical altercation. All five were taken into custody on scene and face multiple charges. Fortunately, no one involved sustained any serious injuries.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that the dispute was related to an off-campus disagreement. 40-year-old Jynessa Brown, an employee of HCPS, assisted Ford and Louissaint with entry into the school. At the time of the incident, she was off-duty, but dressed in full uniform.

Subsequently, officers made contact with Brown at her residence where she was taken into custody and charged with One Felony Count of Child Abuse, One Misdemeanor Count of Disrupting School Campus or Function, and One Misdemeanor Count of Trespass Upon School Grounds.

To ensure the safety of students and staff, additional officers were present during dismissal today.

For additional information on Brown or disciplinary actions being taken, please contact the Hillsborough County Public School’s Communications Department.
