Old City Hall will shine green tonight, November 10, 2020, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB). Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay strives to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives by working to provide safe homes and communities for everyone in Tampa Bay.
Over the last 20 years, RTTB has worked directly with the City of Tampa staff, Jane Castor, and former mayors to accomplish our goals, raise awareness, and serve families within the City of Tampa.
Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay and the City of Tampa Housing and Community Development have partnered over the years to deliver residential repairs and rehab services to low-income homeowners and increase affordable housing opportunities in neighborhoods such as Sulphur Springs and West Tampa.
Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay believes a safe home and community is the right of all people, not just the privilege of a select few. At RTTB, we provide critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for the homeowners who benefit from our assistance most, including low-income families, veterans, the elderly, children with asthma or other respiratory conditions, victims of disasters, and persons with disabilities
Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay works to increase the number of safe and healthy living environments in Tampa Bay through the vision of Rebuilding Together. To date, Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay has invested over $12 million into the Tampa Bay community, engaged over 12,000 volunteers, had over 50,000 hours donated by our hardworking volunteers, have served more than 1,100 homes, completed 450 Safe & Healthy Home projects, and made the homes of 500 elderly persons safer allowing them to age in place, served over 500 people experiencing disabilities, have provided home repairs and accessibility to 80 veterans.
