Public Education Activities

All activities must be scheduled one month in advance. Please plan ahead.

Visits to the fire station /station tours

  • See fire apparatus
  • Meet local firefighters
  • See the station where the firefighters work and live for 24 hours at a time.

Programs that are available from the public education division are:

  • Visits to schools, neighborhood groups, and private businesses
  • Display of fire trucks and rescue units
  • Career days
  • Fire safety for kids
  • Fire safety for adults
  • Drowning prevention
  • Elderly fall prevention
  • High-rise building fire education
  • Fire extinguisher training
